Homare Kinesaki (杵崎 ほまれ, Kinesaki Homare), nicknamed Hocchan, is one of the characters of Hai-Furi. She is the older twin sister of Akane Kinesaki whom she is assigned to the Harekaze's mess hall with.
Appearance[]
Homare has neck-length brown hair that has a pair of multi-colored hair clips on each side and dark-green eyes.
Being assigned to the mess hall, she wears a pink apron with a shrimp design on top of her school uniform.
Personality[]
Homare and Akane Kinesaki hail from a family that runs a Japanese sweets shop called the Kinesaki, which translates to experience in making sweets in general and the twins join the Harekaze, cooking for its crew along with Mikan Irako.
Etymology[]
- Homare's surname Kinesaki means "pestle" (杵) (kine) and "cape, peninsula" (崎) (saki).
- Personnel assigned in the mess hall follow the trend of being named after supply ships where the Kinesaki twins are named after the Kinesaki-class supply ships and their specific namesake, the Kinesaki, was the only ship of its class sunk by enemy action during World War II.
